ANNOUNCEMENT

Patriarch Michael approved and announced on October 21, 2009, the creation of a new Diocese under the Archdiocese of St. Mary. This Diocese shall be known as; the Diocese of St. Francis of Assisi with its headquarters in Bridgeton, New Jersey.

The Most Rev. Joseph W. Veight, III has been named by Archbishop John Walzer, to be the new Bishop Ordinary of the Diocese of St. Francis of Assisi. A date shall be set in the near future for his installation.
