Archbishop

The Most Rev. John P. Walzer, D.D. is the Archbishop and spiritual head of the Archdiocese of St. Mary. The Archdiocese of St. Mary includes both the Diocese of Connecticut and the new Diocese of St. Francis of Assisi.

On April 21, 1990, in Boston Massachusetts, Patriarch Andre Barbeau [Andre I] , was the Chief Consecrator of Archbishop John P. Walzer, with Archbishop Michael Boucher, and Archbishop LeTellier the co-consecrators. One year later, on May 1, 1991, Archbishop Walzer was officially installed as the Archbishop for the Archdiocese of St. Mary in the beautiful old St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Hartford, CT.

On July 9th, 2010, by succession, Archbishop John has become the new Patriarch of the worldwide Catholic Charismatic Church. He has chosen the name, “Augustine I”.
